Re: Random Thoughts Again

It is factually incorrect that there is one isolated case of someone presenting themselves at the boarder for asylum and having their kid taken from them. It is true that, as a matter of course, the border agents are not pulling those kids away but it has happened in more than one occasion. The bord...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

It is unfathomable to me that anyone can justify taking children from their parents and sticking them in cages 20 or 30 at a time where the lights are on 24/7. How anyone can look at that and not see the immorality of it is simply beyond me. These are children who have done absolutely nothing wrong....

Re: Random Thoughts Again

until the facts are shown that this is an Obama holdover policy, not a Trump policy...... Here's a fun fact - that's an outright lie that is being pushed by the scumbag in chief. It's not true. It has never been true. The Obama administration NEVER separated families this way. It never, ever happen...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

I am pretty sure it said visit the high point, not the low point. Btw, Death Valley is not the lowest point in the US. The lowest point in the US is the former Wallmart building now being used to cage children who's parents brought them here seeking asylum. Just don't call them "cages". Se...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

Each of the 50 states has its own unique high point, from the 14,505-foot Mount Whitney in California to Delaware’s roadside Ebright Azimuth (442 feet)

Yet another reason to be embarassed for Delaware. 442 feet? It's like they are not even trying.

Re: The Ongoing New Financial Era Thread

That's consistent with my feelings on the topic. Venture capitalists are in a position to research a firm before they invest. And, investors in general have a lot of protections and recourse. Customers have far fewer protections and recourse. And, when it comes to medical, it gets really hairy. Your...

Re: The Ongoing New Financial Era Thread

If they go for the death penalty and I'm on the jury, they will likely get it. The focus on this woman and her company has been mostly on the investor fraud with some small amount of attention to the doctors and patients who were defrauded because they used here bullshit tests. But, what about the p...

Re: The Ongoing New Financial Era Thread

I didn't either but I'm not shocked. Nor am I upset. We throw poor people in jail for years for selling dime bags of weed. White collar criminals we let off with a slap on the wrist.

Her mistake was not being a large financial institution that donates shit tons of money to political candidates.

Re: The Ongoing New Financial Era Thread

This wasn't really news, though. You knew this was coming. She had been outed as a fraud some time ago and the SEC and DOJ have been digging into her for a while. It was a matter of time before this happened.

Re: 2018 Baseball Season

I'm not sure if this will link right but here are the standings at the AS break last year. From that, you already have a few teams really contending. I just don't get how the attendance can be a big drop off from last year as it's a very similar situation. Shore - I'm with you. I wouldn't turn down ...
