Re: 2017 NFL Football Season

That's the nature of the NFL. It isn't enough to be good. You have to be lucky, also. Every team is one or two key injuries away from having their season abruptly ended.

Re: Politics

Let's say it was a real gun and not an air gun. I'm curious to know if a law would even have been broken. And, if not, what right did the cops even have to show up and call him out Let's further suppose that the police agreed and decided not to show up. And that he subsequently shot four people sit...

Re: Politics

From what I've read, this incident was a Perfect Storm of Wrong. The deceased was not using his noodle right from the get-go. He was a pest-control worker in town on business. He had a scoped air rifle that he used as part of his job. But his job was not at the hotel at which he was staying. It was ...

Re: Politics

It's beyond nuts. It's an unspeakable horror. But I don't see any evidence that it was 2nd degree murder. "They" didn't shoot him. One policeman did all the shooting. It smells to me like a deadly combination of incompetence and panic on the part of an individual who never should have been...

Re: Politics

It's hard to argue that this wasn't a total nightmare of an incident. Injustice is another matter. The officer was charged with 2nd degree murder. That means that while he didn't plan this death ahead of time, he acted with malice and wanted to kill the person he shot. I wasn't at the trial, so I do...

Re: Politics

As near as I can tell from late-night infomercials, nearly half the country has shriveled parts, constipation and severe flatulence. We should change our name to The United States of My-Parts-Are-Kaput. And when your Trumpy Bear arrives, I think you should give it a big sloppy kiss. Tongue. No tongu...

Re: 2017-18 baseball off season

I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that the NY Yankees have hired a manager who:

(1) Has zero managing (or even coaching) experience, and
(2) Is married to a former Playboy Playmate whose "goodies" can be perused by anyone who wishes to peruse them.

It's a new world.
