Re: College: attending, paying for, etc.

A few months ago, I asked my grandson if he was looking at colleges yet. He said his top picks were PSU (to his sister's chagrin), Bucknell, MIT, and Stanford. He is a pretty smart kid but these are some lofty picks. I told him he would need to beat his dad's SAT scores. His dad had a 1400. Well he ...

Re: Iowa Thread

As I sat in the stadium at halftime, I looked at the scoreboard and wondered how we managed to be tied with all the mistakes we made. Then I thought Iowa could be in trouble the second half. And they should have been but we made enough mistakes to keep them in the game. With Taylor ineligible the fi...

Re: 2018 Season Predictions

The only prediction I will make is that before the end of the year, Miles Sanders name will be mentioned in Heisman conversation. If that happens, PSU will be having a really good year.

Re: Politics

I never thought about retaining a clearance after you left a position where you needed one. It makes sense that you would retain the clearance for a time. Regardless there is the thing called "need to know". If you leave office and have no "need to know"', you cannot get to see c...

Re: 2018 Preseason Thread

From what I read, he MAY be able to earn a scholie after next year. Sounds like JF is giving him a chance. I believe Joe gave Ingram a chance after a similar incident. These kids are young and sometimes f up. If it happens again, hang him out to dry. Until then let's give the kid a break. It may be ...

Re: 2018 Preseason Thread

Rumor has it that former ND running back CJ Holmes is coming to Penn State as a walk-on. He got into trouble for shoplifting and was kicked off the ND team. He has a sister attending PSU who will be receiving a track scholarship. He will have 3 years of eligibility remaining.

Oh do I want to see the first time this happens. "OK ma'am, how wide is your ass. Wait a minute until I get my yardstick." I want to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.

Re: Penn State Hoops.

Late game collapses has become a common theme at PSU. Imo there is not enough depth on the team and they tire toward the end of games.
