Re: Dad Jokes

Re: Politics

Regarding the oil thing, I auditioned for the Navy Music Program a doy or two before the Iraq invasion of Kuwait in 1990. I went to boot cam during the coalition buildup. Suffice it to say there was a large amount of machismo from the instructors. At some point we were told that we were going to war...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

I have been to Japan a few times and rode the train a good bit. I was not on the bullet train, but went from Norita to Yokosuka in roughly two hours. I am guessing this is maybe 100 miles. The train is clean and on time. My question is, what is different here compared to other well developed countri...

I prefer to get a small or no refund for those reasons, _dad.

B-Dub, I was not as aware of the implications as you seem to be. I knew my withholding were wrong so I increased them a bit to keep from owing too much like last year.

Re: The Ongoing New Financial Era Thread

I don’t think most people do, _dad. Especially the generation that has little experience wit actual checks. They look at their bank account app and see x amount was deposited. Many have no ide what is deducted or why. As for deductions, did the mortgage deduction go away? I heard that it did but I a...

Re: Music

I would like to see Bon Jovi, but my wife would even more. They played in Erie in the late eighties at the football stadium. It was a big deal as there hadn’t been a concert there in like, forever, and the stadium attached to the high school his mother went to. The next week, Huey Lewis and the News...

Re: Music

Not many big show came to Erie when I was growing up, but I saw Def Leppard, Jefferson Starship, Loverboy and REO Speedwagon growing up. Since then, I have seen Billy Joel, Hootie and the Blowfish, Barenaked Ladies (those two are touring together this summer together) and many many more. We try to g...

Ok. As I understood it, he was commenting on after the baby is born and in distress as your quote states. Once the baby is born, it is not abortion. It is more along the lines of a do not resuscitate situation but the decision is made by the parents I presume. I realize there is late term abortion l...

Understood. Did you hear the question he was asked, or just his reply?
