Re: 2018 Baseball Season

Pick on the O's all you want. They deserve it. On a brighter note, I learned this week that I'm getting two tickets to the All-Star Game. An acquaintance through work has a son who is a manager of one of the Nat's minor league teams and he gets a few tickets. I'd never pony up the money to go to the...

Re: These are a few more of my favorite peeves

Actually most shows have their own staging. Almost exclusively all the big tours are designed by Tait Towers, located right in Lititz, PA. It's very interesting that a huge hub of the entertainment industry is centered there. Rock Lititz has Tait Towers and Clair Brothers Sound are the big ones but ...

Re: These are a few more of my favorite peeves

Since this thread is completely hijacked now I'll weigh in. I think I've mentioned my part-time gig as a stagehand in DC. So I've been fortunate to see just about every group mentioned thus far. In addition to excellent money (the hours can suck sometimes) seeing so many bands for "free" i...

Re: 2018 Preseason Thread

I figured I'd post this here since it starts this season. The NCAA has made a major rule change that a player can play in up to 4 games in a season and still take a redshirt for that season. I remember reading about this a while back. Franklin was all for it as I recall. I think you'll see a lot mor...

Those in the know call it "Snotsdale". It's a pretty uppity attitude there. Which is fine if you're into that sort of thing . . .

Re: Other Sports

I'm not a big hockey fan by any stretch but I am definitely rooting for my "home" team to finish off the Knights. I've probably watched more hockey this playoff than every other time combined. I'll say this, hockey players are some tough MF'ers. I mean damn, the stuff that goes on away fro...

Re: Other Sports

Someone reminded me today (why, I have no idea) that the World Cup starts next week. I explained that my life is easier since the US didn't qualify and so I don't have to act that I care about soccer. I always say one of the best days every 4 years is when the US is knocked out of the World Cup and ...

Re: 2018 NFL Season

I'd never heard that some players thought Montana was throwing the ball away. I never thought he was. But that video just continued to reinforce how much I hate Tony Dorsett's freaking guts. I grew up a Skins fan when that rivalry was really something so I was always rooting against him. And then wh...
