Re: 2020 Election Thread

Bernie is not quite the pauper he's made out to be - he made over $1MM in 2016 (thanks in large part to a book deal). Net worth is kind of a tricky thing as assets can be placed in a spouses, children or grandchild's name and not necessarily be reflected in his political disclosure but last I saw it...

Re: 2020 Election Thread

His running is emblematic of something many people find so disturbing about current day politics - the amount of time elected official spend campaigning for a new job vs doing the one they been elected to do. I'd like to think being a US Senator is a full time job - one that actually requires more t...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

I think previous posters who commented on the simple geographical differences hit the main reason rail is more effective in Japan than the US. Japan is basically a bent straw - you could put a line running north and south down the eastern coast with spurs running west at key points and service count...

Re: 2018 Baseball OffseasonThread

Well I don't know how much more wins he will see but the weather just got a whole lot better. I looked over the Orioles roster - mainly because I wanted to see who the manager was - I had that scene from Major League going through my head Who are hell are these guys I never heard of most of them and...

Re: 2018 NFL Season

In exciting news AAF news Hack scored a TD on a scramble last weekend and good news for B&W - Tebow declined an AAF invite so he could focus 100% on getting the Mets to the WS.

Re: Politics

You'd have to see an actuarial study but the politicians who brokered the NY Amazon deal claim the ROI is there and given the direct and indirect economic activity the project would bring I would tend to believe it - it's also possible Virginia negotiated a better deal with a quicker payback and NYC...

Re: 2020 Election Thread

M is the Roman numeral for 1000 - thus 25M is 25,000. Not 25 Million - which would be 25MM.

Between this and the Eric Reid will never sign again comment you shouldn't be calling people out with such confidence.

Re: 2018 NFL Season

Ummm ... Reid just signed a 3 year extension with the Panthers this week.

Kap reportedly asked for $20MM to play in AAF - so unrealistic expectations may be his stumbling block
