Re: Politics

Back in the 70s, there was a Polish pro tennis player (I forget his name) who was known to be very cranky. One sports writer described him as "the original 6-foot pole you wouldn't want to touch anything with". Sounds a lot like Ilie Nastase. I believe he was a Czech with the well-earned ...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

I had a fairly large tree fall during a storm at my last house. It caused no property damage. The insurance company said the "Act of God" provision applied and they owed me squat for the tree's removal. So I asked: "What if it had landed on my home?" They said in that case, they...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

I didn't say I had problems. Didn't you read my post? My neighbor has problems. I'm fine. The problem with written communication...sometimes....occurs when the intended sarcasm, cynicism and narcissism of the the communicator is apparent only to the communicator. I can read. It's just that my faile...

Re: Politics

I thought those poles were ten feet long. Never heard of not touching someone with a six foot pole. Maybe you mean a six foot tall person of Polish descent.

Re: Politics

Great! I've been outed. Actually, I was in DC on a double-super secret meeting at the russian embassy to get more dirt on Hillary so's the putz-in-chief can lock her up once and for all. That will, I'm sure, guarantee his re-election in 2020 and beyond.

Re: These are a few more of my favorite peeves

My desktop computer has been invaded by a program that constantly opens or redirects me to an advertising, survey or security site. Occasionally, a website named Daily 360 pops up as my default homepage. I've googled the problem in search of a fix but can't rid myself of the app since it appears to ...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

And you think YOU have problems. I just ran over a steel cable with my 17 year old tractor mower. It's dead as fried chicken. I'll have to buy a new one. Mrs. Mad thinks I did it on purpose so I could buy the new tractor mower I've been jonesing for...you know, cruise control, bose speakers, turbo-c...

Re: Politics

Does anyone recall how the really stable genius-in-chief accused Obama of planning an attack on Iran during the run-up to to the 2012 election? Yep. He said Obama wanted to look like a tough guy to increase his chances of re-election. But I'm absolutely sure our commander-in-putz has the nation's be...

Re: 2019 Baseball Season

I'm in a bar across from Wrigley and they have Pabst Blue Ribbon on draft. So, I had to go old school here and order a PBR. Not a Cubs fan but I love Wrigley and the area around the stadium. This is baseball nirvana. Grower- Harper is a chump. I thought you didn't want chumps on your team. But, it'...

The booing stunk. So did the celebratory f-bombs. But Brad Marchand crying.....I loved it.
