Re: Politics

What's next?

Mandatory tasering for anyone who gets in the XPress Checkout line with more than 12 items.

Mrs psu_dad: THAT again?
Me: Makes me crazy. Only a matter of time before I snap and beat someone senseless with a loaf of Pumpernickel.

Re: Politics

I have no issues with executing drug trafficking kingpins. I have a few, but not many. Some some guy in a tie-dye shirt selling weed is one thing. But selling someone heroin is another matter. You're peddling inevitable misery and death. I don't see how anyone can do that and claim a rightful place...

Re: Politics

Your disdain for the MSM might be misplaced here. I'm detecting skepticism, not outrage, from the MSM as to whether the meeting will actually take place and, if it does, how badly will president knucklehead eff it up. I'll have to take your word for that. I did see a brief clip while channel surfin...

Re: Politics

That's one of the few Taibbi columns where I can't find a single thing to nitpick. The MSM's outrage over the possibility of President Knucklehead going to North Korea would be laughable if it weren't so pathetic. There's no charitable explanation for it. It indicates either (1) a profound ignorance...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

Citi may have done it too (what are the odds) but i don't believe they were actually caught. My recollection is that they avoided a conviction via a $97M settlement with the Justice Department. ------------------------ EDIT: This was the incident involving their Banamex subsidiary. I found the link...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

Well, they can afford it. They've made a fortune laundering money for Mexican drug cartels.

Re: Politics

I think the issue with his call to Putin was his own team said "don't do it!" and he went and did it anyway. I'm sure that happens all time and has been happening since forever. It just doesn't get blabbed to the media. His "team" is there to advise him, not to give him orders. ...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

Well, there's some good news. Apparently, after Minnesota slaps a "no alcohol" restriction on your license, driving under the influence becomes a felony. This guy recently got 4.5 years for DUI #28. And it turns out, he's had this "no alcohol" restriction on his license for years...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

PS - Apparently, there is no law in Minnesota that allows the state to permanently revoke a driving license, no matter how many DUIs a person gets. You can get your license temporarily suspended, but if you follow the procedure for getting it back, you get it back. After his 27th DUI, this guy check...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

the article mentions a guy that has been arrested 27 times for DUI - how is this guy not doing life? There's a link to an article about his 28th DUI arrest. This part is priceless: Megan Leonard, a spokeswoman for the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, told the Tribune that Bettcher’s ID was va...
