Re: These are a few more of my favorite peeves

Sad because a lot of very good people donate their time, effort and money to good causes and never seek - and unfortunately don't always get adequately recognized for their tangible contributions. Re: Politics

(1) Send everyone who is caught entering illegally back right away, even if they claim after being caught that they're seeking "asylum", which will cause a shit-storm of biblical proportions, Near as I can tell, that is not far from the official Trump policy. They have about zero intentio...

It's the epitome of feel good/do nothing actions. It's like these awareness campaigns. I promise, I'm aware of bre...

Re: The Ongoing New Financial Era Thread

This is an annoying war of semantics (America in general, not specifically here). For example, there is certainly a second divide between "Trump voters" and "Trump supporters" which probably deserve variable levels of vitriol. I agree. There are die hards who believe every piece...

Re: Politics

Not being illegal doesn't mean it's the law. Those are not the same thing. And, while it may not violate immigration law, it certainly is violating notions of human decency and morality. They may also be violating US law in violating treaties the US has signed regarding the handling of refugees and ...

Re: Politics

Show me where Congress has passed a law requiring the actions we've seen the past few weeks. I'll wait. Let me know when you find one.

Re: Politics

CNN is reporting that in a meeting with Republican leadership, Trump told them they better pass something on immigration because videos of crying babies was killing them, politically. Not him, though. Apparently he said he's so popular he could still shoot someone in public and everyone would be jus...
