It's ironic those teams would hate each other. One wouldn't exist without the other. The Dodgers weren't moving to California unless they could find someone else to join them. No one was flying out there to play one series.

I assume that picture wasn't the brainchild of the Giants team, but rather the local sports channel. I thought the northeast had a monopoly on douchebag sports media guys. Guess not.

The Giants and Dodgers have been rivals for over 100 years. It is probably one of the oldest rivalries in sports, as both teams were formed in the 1880s. The symbiotic relationship they have probably only increases the rivalry.

It's not Yankees-Red sox, but it is still a big rivalry. Probably the second biggest in baseball (although Cubs and Cardinals fans may take umbrage at that).

Turns out it's not just Philly fans who don't know how to win with class.

But, Philly fans at least have the excuse of never winning anything so it's understandable they don't know how to handle it and end up eating horse poop. In Boston, a parade for a championship is like an every year or at least an every other year occurrence. So, no excuse for this.

Willie McCovey dead at age 80.

My dad is going to turn 80 in February. That hits a little close to home for me.

There were an estimated 1M in attendance. In any large American crowd, you have to (conservatively) expect a minimum of 1% Total Assholes. In a crowd of 1M, that's 10K Total Assholes. There were 6 arrests (total), All but one of the arrested were teenagers, the Poop-for-Brains demographic.

I wasn't there, but it sounds pretty tame. I don't know how well the horse poop concessions did.
