He was my favorite player as a kid - had poster and signed ball (hopefully not a fake) - partly his fault I've suffered so greatly the last two three decades. No good news in Birdland these days,

I saw Robinson play in the flesh many times when I was in HS. The Yankees were irrelevant at the time. The Orioles were the team to beat in the AL, so my friends and I tried to get tickets to all the Orioles games we could.

He probably hung around as a player too long. His last few years probably cost him being a career .300 hitter. But in his prime he was a great ballplayer.

Looks like the Phillies are finalizing a deal with the Marlins for Realmuto. Early reports have them giving up their top prospects for him.

Ok, deal is official.

Man, the Marlins are a bunch of schmucks. After all that. All the trades that made the press that they shut down. They kept asking for more and more and more and then .... they gave him away for 3 prospects and some international money. The Mets put a better offer on the table and the Marlins were like "well, it has to include Syndergaard" which, of course, the Mets threw up over.

And, then they give him away. Hilarious.

Here is CBS ripping the Marlins for this deal and talking about what the Phillies gave up (spoiler alert - it ain't much).

The Marlins may set attendance records this year for least attendance in history.

I'm going to go way out on a limb here. I'm going to predict that Grower is going to predict that the Phillies are going to win the WS.

The Phillies may still land Harper or Machado. Or both. If they get one, the Phillies in at least the post season is not completely far fetched.
