Maybe your safer taking her to see these guys instead.

On the Greta tickets I looked at ticket sites and saw that $198 price as "Verfied Resale" which I translate as "Connect Scalper Eying Up B&W's Wallet and His Backside". I looked at tix for other venues on tour and saw prices in the 80s for venues that have reserved seating.

So I would say check in on the Stone Pony site periodically and see if it comes down to something reasonable. Asbury has gotten real dressed up so it's a place you could possibly combo a nice family weekend (May 18th is a Saturday).

Figure it this way - if you do the cruise you get double good guy points and with a few tropical drinks a replica JBJ might just suffice (the real one is 55 so he might be showing some miles anyway).

55 is past prime? I got two good years left! The wife went on a weekend cruise to Nassau in December to celebrate her 50th and has looked cruises a bit since. We went to Cleveland for a wedding over New Years and she thinks we need a spring break getaway (she teaches elementary school). I figured getting some tickets to see Hootie and the Blowfish with Barenaked Ladies, The Lion King (with the granddaughter, of course) and Heart with Joan Jett was a pretty good start to summer.

Bon Jovi is actually 56 and will be 57 in early March (I only know this because I just Googled it -- or is it Boobled?).

Lama - thanks for the tip on the Stone Poney. I will keep watching. My best friend lives in Red Bank and he and I were trading texts on this. He was suggesting that if it's on the outdoor stage we can just sit outside and listen. Maybe I'll do that. Nothing is cheaper than "free".

Actually there's a really nice bar across the street with an outdoor deck where if you can hear quite well and see in - just might need to get there a bit before the show to claim the good real estate.

Not music, but my wife and I saw Lewis Black last Saturday at the Sands Casino in Bethlahem. I always get a kick ouf of Black but wasn't sure he would be good for an hour+. But, it was a good time. Glad we went.
