Milk Carton Thread

Postby Blue&White » Mon Aug 12, 2019 7:45 pm

Has Carl been around lately? I'm not sure of the last time he was here.

And, Lama never came back after that multi-week outage.

Southern has been gone like a year. Ever since he became a slumlord.

Who else is missing? And, how do we get them back?

My recollection is that both Carl and Lama last posted in the Spring, just before the site went down. And yes, Southern (AKA JerryGarcia) has been gone over a year.

Internet communities are transitory. Then again. many real world communities are as well. Many years ago, I had a pretty close clique of co-workers with whom I played golf and poker. Then, one by one, they moved on to other jobs and we drifted apart. There's just one guy left in that group that I still go to ball games with occasionally. Such is life.in these modern times. The old "townie" culture where you associated with the same people all your life is increasingly a thing of the past.

I miss crazy out of his mind Nat. Luckily, I know he will be back the first time Michigan pulls a lead on us this fall.

You have obviously never been to Erie, PA!

I was actually wondering about who might return as we approach the football season. I had mentioned something from here to my wife as we drove down the Eastern Shore of Virginia Sunday, only to find that she was sound asleep. Then I got to thinking (never a good thing) and remembered that we lost a few old friends in the past year. My hope is for some of those who have yet to come back after the lockout return soon.

That reminds me. Roar's son went to college in Erie (Mercyhurst?).

Two of my sisters and a niece went to Mercyhurst. It is just around the corner from my dad’s house.

That was a long time ago. I think that kid has to be in his mid 30s already.
