You've confused me with someone else. I could care less about soccer. There is not an instrument to measure my indifference.

I think he was talking about me since I said I pretend to care about soccer during the World Cup. Hey, the last thing I need is to end up on some watch list because I'm not shouting "USA USA" while sitting in a bar. So I fake it.

There is an upside to this. The last time the USA did not make the World Cup, PSU won the nationalchampionship.

I know most of you on the board don't like basketball but the 76ers are really fun to watch. They are really starting to put everything together. If they stay healthy they will exceed expectations for this year! Embiid (who has a fantastic personality!) and Simmons are in beast mode while Covington and Reddick crush 3's. And this is all done without Okafor (lazy bust IMO). They had a tough schedule the beginning of this year and they are above 500. They are 8-6 and just went 3-2 on their west coast trip. Jump on board because the championship train is starting chug- chug- chug along! :D

I hate to break this to you, but the Celtics are poised to own the NBA East for years.

The town of Philadelphia is poised to make championship runs for the next 6 years! Eagles have their core for at least 2 more years. The Flyers are young with some great veteran's sprinkled in there. The Phillies are trying their best. I think they are still 2 years away.

And... the Sixers, who I absolutely love to watch, is a team that no one in the East wants to play. Embiid is a beast and will take over Philly over the next 10 years. Ben Simmons can't shoot the ball to save his life but he plays D and he can pass and rebound with the best of them. Riddick, Saric, Bellinari, and Covington (He has gotten better in the last month) can shoot the 3. Fultz finally played a game last night and looked really good. He is still rusty but this team is poised to make a push to the Eastern Conference Championship!

Winning an NBA championship is like a tree falling in the woods. Does anyone even watch the NBA anymore? I haven't followed basketball since the Flint Tropics were disbanded when the old ABA folded. Now, that was a team. Went out in a blaze of glory after winning the Mega Bowl. I saw the trophy they won. It was 12 feet high and it was glorious!

But, the NBA holds no interest for me. None.

I agree the Sixers look awesome. Flyers...ehhh...
Philies had some nice off season moves, but will see.

Can you imagine what the Sixers will be like if LeBron brings his talents to South Broad Street? :D

Or maybe it's because the Knicks and Nets both stink?

A couple of months after that movie was released, "Dewie" the bear killed one of its trainers. Training 700-lb grizzly bears is near the top of jobs I don't want.

No, it's because I, like the majority of Americans, don't care. Are the Knicks and Nets not doing well? I have no idea. Btw, the Nets are in Brooklyn now. I didn't follow them when they were in the Meadowlands so I'm sure not following them out in Brooklyn.

dad - is that true about Dewie? Agreed, you have to be nuts to get into a cage with a grizzly or a tiger.
