I've been a casual Pens fan since the 1970's and have had several great times with the championship teams BUT it is nice to see the cup travel around the league. A dominant team seemingly always winning the cup is boring (read yankees for illustration) to the remaining team's fans, understandably. So this year, I'd have rather experienced a Cinderella story of Vegas winning the Cap's are a team that has not had the cup for a while and I'm fine with that, but not next year.
So I got that going for me...which is nice. It's a cross between Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent and Northern California Sensimilla so you can play 36 holes on it,take it home at night and get stoned to the begesses belt

Sports gambling starts Thursday in Jersey - kudos to the State for moving quickly.

They have a chronically underfunded pension system that is crushing them. They can't screw around when a new source of revenue presents itself.

I'm sorta watching it. I've had it on in my office while I'm working. Some of the officiating has been dreadful and the flopping drives me straight up the wall, but most of the games have been entertaining. I have no strong rooting interest.

Haven't watched but heard reports that Jersey is reaping the advantage of moving quickly on sports gambling and the World Cup is generating good betting revenues.

PA on the other hand just watches opportunity disappear (if only we had Pappy O'Daniel for gubaner).

Entertaining, up until that 0-0 agree-to-not-lose sham of a game between France and Denmark. Yawn.

That was disgraceful. Refunds should have been given.

I watched several games last week as I took time off while family was in town. I am having difficulty this week as my network doesn't do video stuff well, so I kind of follow the blogs or twitter feeds but it isn't as much fun.

I don't have a favorite at this point. I was pulling for Korea and Iceland as underdogs, but that didn't pan out...

The men to our south, Mexico

They're currently pooping their pants. They need Germany to choke.

... which they apparently have just done.
