She should have worn a t-shirt instead, with a pack of Marlboros rolled up in the sleeve.

When I last served jury duty, we had to fill out a form for the benefit of the prosecutor and defense attorney. When I was called up before the judge for consideration, the following occurred:

DEFENSE ATTORNEY: It says here you're related to a police officer. Do you think that affects your judgment?
ME: No.
DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Then why put that on the form?
ME: The form simply asked if I was related to a police officer. I am. It didn't ask if that was relevant. It's not.
DEFENSE ATTORNEY: No objections to this juror, Your Honor.

I kinda screwed that up.

Bill Cosby gets 3-10 years. I used to watch this guy all the time when I was young. I grew up watching the Thursday night lineup with my parents- Cosby and Cheers. I watched Picture Pages! Well, this guy was a monster and I hope he dies in jail so he never sees the light of day!

There are a lot of things you and I do not agree on. This is not one of them. I would have been very dissapointed if Cosby did not go to jail. He drugged and raped women for decades. I know that his is only convicted on 1 of those charges, but 1 is really enough. He should do time and I'm glad he's going in.

And, I remember Cosby back to the Fat Albert days. I used to love his shows and his stand-up. He always came off as such a genuinely good person. It was just too easy to forget he was just an actor playing a role.

I'm not sure how much actual time he'll spend in prison, other than to sleep. There are 17,000,000 civil suits pending. I imagine he'll be spending most of his time in court.

He probably should have gotten 3-10 years just for that,

Civil litigation is mostly about filings and paperwork. He will have plenty of time to hope he doesn't get shived in the yard and making sure he doesn't drop the soap.

And, I loved Fat Albert!

He's 81 years old. How does this work? Do they really expose someone that old to the harshness of federal PMITA prison? I'm not particularly sympathetic to his plight, but that seems harsh. I'm assuming he'll end up in a minimum security prison. But what do I know.

Amen.

I am also glad the Judge revoked his bail and sent his ass to jail.

I remember his movies with Sidney Portier and Jimmie Walker as Bootsy Farnsworth. Funny movies. Even post Cosby he had cultivated a pretty strong public image and was a strong advocate of education - especially for the black community.

It's one of the things that you just don't get - as a wealthy celebrity I'm guessing he should have been able to find plenty of willing women and as a wealthy guy if you can't find one, buy one (and back then I imagine escorts actually were honorable enough to honor a confidentiality agreements and courts would enforce them).

But as we say maybe when you get that rich and famous you also get detached from reality and you think you can do whatever you want and you're untouchable.

I have no idea either. I guess we will all find out. And, as for it being harsh, seems less harsh than being drugged and raped. I have zero sympathy for him.
