It was an odd marriage to begin with. Trump campaigned telling people that they were getting screwed by the global economy and Cohn has a reputation as a hardcore globalist.

As for tomorrow morning:

Agree. It was a very odd choice. Head scratching, actually.

I had no idea and just had to google that. Here's a link to a story on the suit.

Jeez, what a freak show this is. If this was happening anywhere else in the world, I'd laugh at the poor suckers in that country. It's not so funny on the inside of it, though.

This has been happening all over the world since politics was first invented. When it happens in Europe, people just yawn.
We've had more than our share of horndogs, too. Just off the top of my head: Warren G Harding had two mistresses, one of whom claimed she had his child. FDR had a full-time mistress (it's convenient when your mistress works for you). JFK boinked half the women in the country while in office. And I vaguely remember something about a blue dress.

This is the absolute least of Trump's problems as POTUS. Now as for him also being a husband, that's another matter entirely.

Like I said before, I could care less where Donald sticks Little Donald. But, this is just a non stop circus. It's also comedy gold.

I bet he wishes he was president in the pre-Watergate era when the press considered boinking porn stars and actresses a personal issue and not something the public need concern themselves with.

If DT is not POTUS Stormy Daniels isn't making money - or getting any press out of this. DT has led a life that didn't have "be POTUS" as an end goal or vision - he ran on an impulse driven by his ego - he never thought "what are some of the things I've done that are going to get dragged into the light that may be embarrassing".

And this is why if he wants to stay married he will not run for POTUS again - at certain point his wife will no longer put up with being humiliated in the press because someone can't control their impulses.
DT's exit won't be do to immigration policy, tax cuts, cutting business regulations, gun control - it will be because of something impulsive he has done - or will do in regards to his behavior or running his mouth that his wife and the general populace will say "enough". And he will get to that point - he can't help himself. A-holes can serve a purpose short term but long term they wear everyone out.

He served his purpose - he dropped the house on the Wicked Witch - it would be nice for him to focus on immigration, healthcare, spending, trade - and stay on an issue for more than 5 mins but that's not him. So if you're the Rs - limit the damage of his childish actions and stay on topic and point out the Ds still have nothing of value to offer.

Completely agree with this point. I was talking to someone yesterday and they made a statement along the lines of how Trump will turn the House and the White House blue for 20 years. I said I wasn't convinced the Democrats would win in 2020 if the Republicans run a different candidate. If Trump runs, I think he loses Yugely. I also think the Republicans are going to lose the House this November. They could conceivably lose the Senate but I doubt it (not enough seats open for Dems to win). But, I think that has very little to do with any platform the Democrats are putting forth (because they have not put anything out).

Saw that the White House is already backing off some of the tougher rhetoric on the tariffs. They are now saying that it won't impact Mexico or Canada and they will be looking at other allies on a case-by-case basis, the implication being that the EU likely won't be impacted. So, basically, that was a lot of acrimony and loss of market cap for nothing.

Assuming that this latest view actually sticks (Trump seems to change his mind randomly), I assume the EU will back off adding their own tariffs to goods from the US, this will largely only impact China - who we already added tariffs to under, I think, Obama, and now they don't push much steel here anyway - Trump will get to beat his chest on something to his base, and life will continue as it always has.

Politics as usual, I guess.

Pretty much, assuming there isn't another change before the signing at 3:30 or so.

What did they try to call it, a symbolic tariff or something... It's almost as if they are making this shit up as they go...
