So, it's everyone else's fault. Got it. That's going to hold the locker room together.

The best thing I can say about him is that he's not a good GM.

He certainly hasn't been lately. But, his 2007 draft was instrumental in winning the Super Bowl that year. All his picks had an impact. Kevin Boss, an unheralded 5th round pick, was not only able to replace Jeremy Shockey but was able to up the level of play at the TE position. Bradshaw was a 7th round pick and he was instrumental in the Giants running game that year. He also put the team together that won it all in 2011. So, in the past, he had an ability to identify talent. There are too many examples of him picking guys that no one was focused on and that player turning into something big to just shrug it off as luck.

I have no idea what has happened to him but he's clearly not doing the job at the same level this year. This isn't all his fault, You can't blame the GM when you lose 4 wide receivers in a single game. But, coming into the season with an offensive line that can't protect the QB? That's very much on him.

At this point, I think the Giants should say "thanks for the memories" and move on, but the Mara's don't really roll that way. I don't think anything is a foregone conclusion.

Most of the 2007 team was Accorsi's - yeah, he (Reese) had an impact on the draft, but recall that 07 team gelled at the right time led by their veterans.

The 2010 team was more of Reese, but it still had an offensive line drafted mostly by Accorsi, and a good portion of the defense too. And if you look at the rest of his draft, he's not had great success in the middle rounds where you really build a deep roster if it's done right.

Frankly, I don't see enough games to care anymore, but I think he's a scout trying to be a GM and failing miserably at it.

You make some convincing points. I'm sold, let's fire him.

After missing the playoffs in 2010, the 2011 Giants lost 4 straight in November to fall to 6-6 and were seemingly poised to miss the playoffs again. At that point, B&W wanted to stuff Ton Coughlin into the trunk of a car and drive it off the Queensboro bridge.

So there's that.

I may be contradicting myself, but I thought Coughlin got a raw deal, that most of the issues were top down. That said, I do believe there's a shelf life for most coaches, even successful ones (we were fortunate that Joe's shelf life lasted for 409 wins - ;) ). Coughlin's had passed, at least as far as the Giants were concerned, and I didn't disagree w/ their decision to move on. I did disagree re: their choice however. I think Philly's primed to take over the east - they got a good one in Pederson.

Dolphins trade RB Jay Ajayi to Eagles for a draft pick. I guess the Dolphins are playing for the draft pick now.

Texan's prodigy Watson goes down in practice Thursday. O'Brien goes out and gets McGloin to fill in the roster spot!
