Hey, I'd be thrilled if Beckham adopted an "act like you've been there before" attitude about scoring TDs. He doesn't have that, though. He's a head case. What can you do?

Well since Al Davis is dead I would say call the Redskins or Browns and make an insanely lopsided deal in your favor before this idiot implodes and has no value.

The problem is he has tremendous value. He's one of the best offensive players in the league. Every time the ball gets thrown his way there is a chance he will break one. I've seen him catch a ball in traffic where you hope he gets a first down and all of the sudden he's run for 50 yards and has a TD.

The Mara's wouldn't put up with his crap if he was only a good player. The problem is he's a great player. There is a line from Bull Durham: "Million dollar arm but a 10 cent head". That is OBJ in a nutshell.

He makes the HC look weak. And that's a recipe for disaster.

"We should be talking about the way he played, he made some great plays in the ballgame, some tremendous plays, some game-changing plays,’’ McAdoo said on a conference call. “I’d rather be talking about that than a celebration penalty. I mean, it’s real simple. I don’t want to kick off from the 20-yard line, it doesn’t help our team. It makes it tough on the players who are covering kicks.’’

When asked about Beckham's utter lack of remorse (“When I get in the end zone, I’m going to do what I do.’’) McAdoo refused further comment.

Allow me to translate McAdoo's response for you: "What do you guys want from me? He doesn't give a rat's ass what I think. He's in charge, not me."

And?

There are 32 head coaches in the NFL and there is exactly 1 who is always going to have more power than any of his star players. McAdoo is a 2nd year coach with an 0 - 3 record. What would you like him to do about it?

B&W - I agree he has tremendous value - now - and the Giants can get a team that thinks they are OBJ away from the SB to overpay for him. And when he eventually implodes and his value plummets the Giants have already moved on with the 3-4 quality players they secured in the trade.

Sooner or later guys like this either become an internal cancer, cost your team because they fail to prep for game and make mistakes or do something stupid that results in suspensions (see Ezekial Elliot and Josh Gordon).

Trade him now - upgrade your OL and WR core with the trade - finish tanking the season and then draft Barkley and win a SB while Manning's window is still open a crack.

I'm not sure I agree, but it doesn't matter. Giants don't have a suggestion box out front of the stadium so it's not like they are interested in my input.

Francesa agrees with me. I may have to reconsider my position.

It's funny you say that. I saw yesterday that he was raving about that endzone celebration and I thought "I should re-think my position"

He gets so worked up that I usually can't tell if he's serious or just doing shtick. The scary part is that I think he's actually serious.
