I am rapidly falling out of love with Mets manager Micky Calloway.

A month ago you wanted to have his baby.

Mrs psu_dad: You wanted to fire the manager after one game.
Me: What's your point?

They lost to the Reds again? Ouch.

As much as I good on the Phillies, they are only a half game out of first place. Who woulda thunk that?

So here's a fun fact just for B&W: The combined ages and salaries of the Braves' youngsters Albies, Acuna, and Siroka (61 and $1.5m) are roughly equal to Bobby Bonilla, who is still on the Mets payroll (55 and $1.15m).

It may be a "fact" but I don't see anything "fun" about it. Not a single thing.

July 1 = Bobby Bonilla pay day. My least favorite of all the summer holidays.
Alex Cora sucks. Mickey Callaway sucks. Baseball sucks. Everything and everyone just sucks. Is it football season yet?

We're now a quarter through the season and 7 teams are on pace to lose 100 games. Yes, I know it's early, but that's still incredible. Last year at this point there were some bad teams, but none on pace to lose 100 games. And in the last 3 seasons combined, 100 losses has only happened once.

The 3 teams that really shock me are the Dodgers, Orioles and Rangers. None of those teams were expected to tank this season like they have. Especially the Dodgers. Just goes to show what a few injuries can do to a team. In the Dodgers case, they have had some bad luck with guys getting hurt. The Rangers and Orioles, however, should be firing their entire front office staff.

Especially the Dodgers.

They just got swept 4 straight by the Reds. At home. That's brutal.

And Matt Harvey pitched 4 strong innings last Friday.

Orioles found their bats last week and scored about a billion runs and nearly doubled their win total for year - so they are only like 5 games out of 4th now.
