Oh, the butcher and the baker and the people on the streets,
where did they go? To MEET THE METS!
Oh, they're hollerin' and cheerin' and they're jumpin' in their seats,
where did they go? To MEET THE METS!

Yeah, well, that's like your opinion, man.

The Orioles are a mere 49.5 games behind the division leading Red Sox.

Seriously, has any team, at any point, ever been 50 games out of first place? Or will the Orioles be the first have this dubious distinction?

Quite an accomplishment, I must say.

the 62 Mets finished 60.5 games behind the Giants.

In the era of 3 divisions, the closest was the 2003 Tigers who finished 47 games behind. Season's not over yet so the O's may top that.
Alex Cora sucks. Mickey Callaway sucks. Baseball sucks. Everything and everyone just sucks. Is it football season yet?

This is a bit of a complicated issue, but I can explain. Hopefully you can follow the complexity of this. Ok, ready? Here is the answer:

The Mets sucks.

Bigly.

You can't talk about my 2nd favorite team that way.

All the fans are true to the orange and blue,
So hurry up and come on down.
Cuz we've got ourselves a ball club,
The Mets of New York town!

Mets are up 8 - 1 in the top of the 6th. Talk about feast or famine.
