I don't know. Didn't Grower have to do a cross country drive once? He did that without complaining so the Rockies players - who are paid milions to play baseball - should be fine. 8-)

Snark aside, I like the Cubs tonight, too. I'll be surprised if they lose tonight.
Alex Cora sucks. Mickey Callaway sucks. Baseball sucks. Everything and everyone just sucks. Is it football season yet?

Crowbar makes a great point about the Rockies. Plus, the Cubs finished the regular season with a home stand, so they haven't traveled in over a week. They should be a huge favorite.
----------------------------
Also, MLB has known for some that the AL playoff situation was set in stone and the NL playoff situation would likely involve some extra games. So why wouldn't you give the NL teams a break and schedule their WC game for tomorrow? Why give the Yankees and A's the extra day off? They've known where they would be playing for a week. Makes no sense.

And this is why I am not a betting man.

Seriously though, congratulations Rockies.

Meet the A's,
Meet the A's,
Step right up and greet the A's.
Bring your kiddies,
bring your wife,
Guaranteed to have the time of your life.

Mrs psu_dad: That's lame.
Me: I think it's catchy. Where did you hide my banjo?

Well the O's fired Buck. He wasn't really given a lot to work with but 115 losses is 115 losses. He was good for Baltimore on the field and in the community.

The GM should have his head chopped off and placed on a spike at the top of Camden Yards as a warning to anyone else considering a Chris Davis type of contract for one of their players.

hopefully the A's got tickets to Hamilton so the trip wasn't a total loss.

The As looked overwhelmed. I guess 50,000 crazed ex-felons on parole screaming at you from the stands does that to some teams.

Mrs psi_dad: I'm sure there weren't 50,000 ex-felons in the stands.
Me: OK. 40,000. Minimum.
