Anybody remember NBC's experiment in broadcasting a Jets/Dolphins game sans broadcasters? It was in the Mark Gastineau era. Lasted approximately one game. I'm in favor of giving it another try with a twist. Perhaps, we can link in to the broadcast and post snarky comments. I'd prefer that over the nonsense that passes for today's bloviated commentary.
Yeah, well, that's like your opinion, man.

I am getting old. The Eagles lost to the Cowgirls tonight at home and I really don't care. I yelled at the TV here and there but what are you going to do. The Eagles defense is playing like crap and Schwartz has some xplanin to do. We need to bring the dawgs on defense and we let Dak just sit back and shred us.

It's embarrassing the Deadskins are leading the NFC Least. Talk about being the worst 6-3 team in the history of the universe.

I can't get over how bad the broadcast crew for MNF is. John Madden must be rolling over on his grave and he's not even dead.

Why are you trying to kill John Madden?

They're working out as well as Jon Gruden has worked out for the Raiders...

Based on his post game comments it seems OBJ is one heck of a gracious winner. He's also a solid teammate and his his QBs back on the days he wins. You have to love a guy like that.

Leveon Bell doesn't report to the Steelers. I get that it is his prerogative not to report but I am lost when people act like this is a good move. Maybe I am missing something. There is no way in hell that I would sign Bell to a contract due to what he did the last 4 months. And, Bell clearly showed us that you can draft a RB and pay them a few hundred thousand dollars to run the ball for your team. I am baffled as to why Bell thinks this is a smart move. But somehow, most of the talking heads on the radio and TV disagree with me. What am I missing???

I'm not sure what you're missing, G, but Bell is missing about $850,000 large from his paycheck. Per game. Average career span for an NFL player is less than 5 years. Bell's agent better have a very large ace up his sleeve.

What you're missing is that there is no right/wrong answer to this ... yet.

Bell was offered a contract by the Steelers for 70M, but only 17M was guaranteed. That's the sticking point for Bell. He wants way more guaranteed $$$. Todd Gurley recently got a 57.5M contract, but most of it (45M) was guaranteed.

Bell also turned down a franchise tag offer of 14.5M for this year, presumably because he didn't want to risk injury without a long-term contract. If he's able to land a contract in free agency with 30 or 40M guaranteed, then it was probably worth sitting out. If he only gets offers similar to the Steelers offer, then he probably pissed away 14.5M.
