Grower, I get what you're saying and I understand where you're coming from.
I don't. I'm not a fan of quitting mid-game but to compare cleaning a car to the physical abuse you take after 12 years in the NFL if moronic.
anyway, let's hear it for the J - E - T - S JETS JETS JETS! for giving the Browns their first win in 635 days. The Browns are looking like a different team this year. The tied the Steelers. They gave New Orleans a scare. And now they have a win. I guess when you have the top pick in the draft year on year you eventually put a team on the field.

Is it baseball season yet?

Stop picking on the J - E - T - S JETS JETS JETS! Their fan base is my favorite fan base.
There's a popular Jets chat board I peek at occasionally. On the Unintentional Comedy Index of 0-10, that chat board is an 11. After week 1, the two biggest concerns were (1) getting tickets to the Superbowl and (2) getting the Football HOF to waive the normal wait period so Sam Darnold could be inducted immediately. Now, they want to lock Todd Bowles in the trunk of a car and they're referring to Darnold as Sanchez vers. 2.0.
I also have very fond memories of driving to PA when my son was in college and listening to Vinnie from Queens explaining to Mike & the Mad Dog why/how Chad Pennington was way better than Tom Brady.

Show of hands - who picked the Bills to kick the snot out of the Vikings. I sure didn't.
Is it baseball season yet?
Re: 2018 NFL Season
I sure as hell didn't. Hence why I don't do suicide pools, fantasy football, etc.

The Vikings were favored by 17 points. As the NFL goes, that's an insane number.
Speaking of which, if you're inclined to wager, take the Lions and the points tonight. Matthew Stafford should have a big night. The Patriots defense is awful.

You were right about the Pat's game.
I know the Patriots have been down before, only to rebound and make an SB run.
This feels different though. You almost get a sense the dynasty is coming to a close.
Also, welcome back, Carson! He looked like his old self at times. Other times it looked like he was out for 288 days. A sloppy as hell game, but the Birds won. Thankfully style points don't count in the NFL.

It wasn't exactly a bold prediction. I'm not inclined to wager on sports, but I nearly soiled myself when I saw that the Patriots were still favored by 6.5 points at game time. I naively assumed that the initial line would come way down as bets came in over the week. But apparently many of the people who wager on football don't actually follow football.
Was I hallucinating, or did the Colts bring in the backup QB to throw a Hail Mary because they didn't think Andrew Luck could throw the ball 50 yards? They need to hook him up with Peyton Manning's HGH guy.

Speaking of the NFL, how much longer will our old friend BOB be the Texans head coach?
It seems to be bottoming out down there for him.

Despite going 4-12 last year, the Texans gave him a 4-year extension after the season. I doubt they'll can him just one year into that new contract, but who knows.
