The North Jersey Giants. The cure for the common losing streak.

Giants gave that game away. Not a good sign for the Eagles that they need help from a 3 win team to pull out that win.

After last weekend's debacle I'll take it.

Reality is the NFC East champ is in for a brutal beat down come the NFC Divisional playoff.

You never know, but I agree it's highly unlikely the winner of the East gets past the wild card round. I think the Giants are better served tanking and getting the best possible draft position they can. They need a QB for the future and some help on the Offensive line. That division is bad enough that the Giants can look to the post season next year, but they really need to build for the future.

I don't know what's going on with the Eagles. How did they fall apart like that?

Yes, Wild Card round. My bad.

I think there are a lot of things wrong with the Eagles. They miss Reich and DeFelippio more than anticipated. Carson is still not himself since the injury. Their secondary has been decimated by injuries. Their running game is non-existent. And, of course, SB hangover. It's not like the Eagles have ever entered a season with the title "defending Super Bowl champions" after their name. Therefore this is all new to them and the fan base.

Just a few observations off the top of my head. There are plenty more, just can't think of any more right now.

Makes you appreciate what the Patriots have done this century, love them or hate them.

The league seems to be very volatile. After the Jaguars beat the Steelers in the playoffs and played the Patriots tough in he AFC Championship game, the national media declared them the new force to reckon with in the AFC. This year, they stink. The Falcons were in the SB two years ago and now they're 4-7. That same year, the Raiders were 12-4 ... then *poof*

Teams seem to suddenly pop up and make a playoff run or two, then they disappear.

Or you look at it like a glass half full of deliciousness! The Eagles made perfect adjustments and completely shut down the Giants!! Road to the Superbowl!!!
