Other College Football Games

Postby PSUPappy » Sat Aug 27, 2016 9:34 am

Cal & Hawaii kicked off the season last night in Australia with a 51-31 Cal win. I watched most of the first half, which was entertaining offensively but pretty much devoid of defense. If our new offensive scheme is reasonably productive, I sure hope the D doesn't resemble what I saw.

Next weeks schedule features some games that ought to be fun to watch...Oklahoma-Houston, USC-Alabama, Clemson-Auburn, ND-Texas and Mississippi-FSU.

LSU at Wisconsin could be interesting as well. Maryland is playing Howard. Good grief.

it's not even Labor Day weekend yet. How is college football starting already?

It's not right to start games in August. It's unnatural.

$$$$, not unlike baseball in November, our choices for President this year, or our grandkids starting school on August 24th this year.

I wouldn't say college football is starting yet. It was only one game and it was in Australia. If no one watches it does it really happen?

Pappy, I agree completely with your analysis of the game. Lots of spread it out and sling it around exciting offensive football, but neither team had a defense that could punch it's way out of a wet paper bag.

I'm excited for next weekend. I plan on playing an early round of golf then posting up on the couch for a full day of college football. And by full day I mean full weekend. Can't wait!!
Don't blame me, I didn't vote for this clown.

Maryland is playing Howard. Good grief.

All by himself? That seem sort of unfair.
A good team has to have players capable of making plays...oh, wait - we're so there!

The PAC12 is making every effort to expand their reach and the attractiveness of their network. I see the Cal/Hawaii game attracted over 50,000 people in Australia. Perhaps a future game between PSU and UCLA could be played in Tokyo, Sydney, or Vancouver? I would be all in if it happened.
