3 star linebacker Nick Tarburton just committed. We beat out Louisville, Maryland and Michigan State.

Nick represents #11 so far for 2018, a year away. It seems like the snowball is rolling quickly and picking up steam. Three linebackers, a PA young men, committing in the past week, remarkable. Winning last fall sure has emboldened our staff and empowered our potential recruits to commit as record numbers. Good news.

While MSU is embroiled in controversy and weak recruiting. Chickens coming home to roost. Funny how that happens. Coach McSmilely must be gnashing his teeth about now. Of course no one would know as his frown is omnipresent.

These three star ratings for the linebackers are likely to go up for at least two of the LB's as the ratings are updated over this summer into next year, fwiw. Even if we lose Parsons, which grows more likely with every offer the kid receives (fingers crossed that I am wrong), 2018 should still be a phenomenally strong class.

Class of 2018 Recruiting

Postby Anitaemutt » Mon Feb 27, 2017 7:35 pm

Who are Prohms top targets in next years recruiting class? I know we have McCloud from Chicago signed. Hope we can get a few more solid pick ups to go along with him. What exactly do we need? When is the spring signing period? The future looks bright.

Trent Gordon, 3/4 star DB from Texas has committed. Yes, you read that right, Texas. Ranked as #37 CB in country and had offers from the likes of Florida, LSU, Michigan and Oklahoma. I guess the staff blew him away on his visit a few weeks ago. Welcome aboard!!!

I don't know which excited me more: getting a top recruit from Texas or having a post in the Recruiting section that isn't a Russian spammer who's interest is "football" and who's occupation is "Servise".

We actually have two DB's committed in this class and they are both from Texas, though Isaiah Humphries is a legacy (Leonard Humphries is his dad).

I must ban 30 people a week who have that exact profile. The only "moderating" I do on this forum is clearing out the spammers and the actual spam. And, it's getting worse for some reason, but it does seem to ebb and flow.
