Given how We Are is when we are average, I can only imagine his enthusiasm when we are actually good.

I'm just funning with you. Good to have you back.

We Are is like a mini-version of Franklin with all of his "positivity". Glad you're back.

Wait, maybe We Are IS Franklin? Has anyone ever seen both of them at the same time? I submit they have not. Hmmm.

Hey Shore, you never know who...is on here. I mean when it's the best PSU board out there...it tends to draw the upper tier! Oh, and Addy and Shola say hello to the Board!

Just some "Positive" food for thought...

Tyler Davis has never missed a kick at Penn State. He says thoughts of actually doing so have never crossed his mind.

I think my range is probably about 55 [yards], but in a game it's hard to say what it would be because we have such a good punter, and it's not smart to risk it when we can pin them deep with such a good punter and such a good defense
~Tyler Davis

I think this sums up the thoughts and work ethic of what is coming out of camp...this team is ready and playing with a chip, one produced by the snub at the playoff birth and fueled by the Rose Bowl.
This is going to be a dangerous team - that everyone sees coming and is going to be hard to deal with!

I also have not been this excited about the coming PSU season in a long time. I think it's been 2005 or thereabouts that I had these kind of expectations, and given how awful the 03 and 04 seasons were I think even those expectations were seriously tempered.

Unfortunately, I may not be able to catch the game due to some personal obligations. So, what I'm really hoping to see is an extensive in-game thread where you all share your real time observations and emotions so I can read that afterwards.

I'm going to try to record it and watch it when I'm back but I'll see if that works out.

With We Are back on the board I'm thinking that puts us from "PSU could make the playoff" to debating what seed we will be in the playoff.

Something tells me the leaves will be a bit more colorful, the air a bit crisper, the beer a little tastier, chores will get done early and we won't mind being indoors on a fall Saturday.

Haven't been this excited since the effects of the radiation wore off and I could taste food again. :D

I could not agree more. Penn State is back where it belongs, at least on a pre-season level. #6 ranking (which i agree with B&W, is too high - but only too high in my mind as I like to see us the underdogs week in and week out) - I am hoping that this team learns to win from being in front, as well as it learned to win from being behind last year.

That said, I have cleared my Saturday schedule for the season, something that I have not done in a LONG time. It feels pretty damn good again!

This team needs to temper Sat's game and save the raw emotion from last year for Pitt. I know it's hard to curb the enthusiasm but I see Beaver Stadium unloading on the Panthers next weekend.

Lama, that is really saying something! I don't personally know this specific feeling, but I understand the magnitude just the same.

I can't wait until noon on Saturday. My wife has some on line classes she teaches in the in the morning until about 9, so I am hoping I can get permission to venture out on my own to do the shopping while he is holed up with the students from a foreign land, but I am not holding m breath...
