2018 Team Thread

Postby Shore Lion » Tue Sep 25, 2018 5:24 pm

Apparently we didn't have a 2018 team thread yet like in previous years so I figured I'd start one. The big news today is that RB Mark Allen suffered an injury in practice last week and his career is over. You kind of had to figure something was up when he didn't make the trip to Illinois and we didn't hear anything at all. A real shame for the kid but he's going to get his degree and the reports said he's handling it well.

Well, there goes Rasheed Walker's chance of getting on the Supreme Court.
Alex Cora sucks. Mickey Callaway sucks. Baseball sucks. Everything and everyone just sucks. Is it football season yet?

And if you read the report it doesn't sound like he's a criminal, just a complete lazy, dumbass!

Pretty ironic that his name is "Walker"...

Tough break for Allen - my impression was he was guy who didn't have all the physical gifts of the other RBs but there was no quit in the guy - he certainly had no issue running head first into the line and bulling his way for whatever yardage could be gotten.

Hope he can continue to enjoy hos college experience, gets back to 100% healthy and gets his degree. Always seemed like a good team guy.

The whole Walker thing is crazy. I'm mean, there's stupid, and there's lazy, but that was just stupid lazy. Some folks...
If at first you don't succeed, give up. There is no hope for you.

This team could be really good. As important as the Ohio State game was on a conference and national perspective, the two weeks before the MSU game will really tell how well the coaches prepare the team for the rest of the season.

While watching the OSU game, and especially at the end, I thought it would have been good for the team to have another conference game under their belt before OSU. Not sure how the conference determines when teams play each other, but getting another conference game in probably would have helped.

At this point, I think we are still in for a good season.

There was no doubt before this season started that I thought this team should go 12-0. We BETTER go 11-1!

11-1 is doable, but very unlikely.

I think they split the Wisconsin and Michigan games, but also get tripped up somewhere else along the line.

They'll go on to win their bowl game and finish 10-3.
41-33.
