Even better, Sam Darnold fumbled the game away on the last drive. #saquon4heisman

That's a shame.

LSU lost to Troy. Not the USC version of Troy, but Troy. One has to wonder if Alabama's sheer dominance is hurting the SEC.

LSU gave that game away on turnovers. Troy did play over their heads and had Troy not given back the one turnover, I think they had two, it wouldn't have been close. LSU is a 20-25 team. Before the playoffs AL will probably only play two ranked teams, Auburn and the SEC East winner (GA or FL?). Big 10 East winner will have played 3-4 including the Conference Championship.

Maybe you are right about AL's dominance but with scholarship limits I don't get the methodology. Yes they get the top class practically every year. I guess there can be a big drop off between the #1 class and the number 5.

24/7 did an article a couple years back defining a bit the difference in talent between #1 recruiting classes vs. #5, #10, etc.

The difference was stark in terms of # of wins. And I do think that one dominant team is harmful to the rest of the league...unless, of course, it's Penn State.

:D

Oklahoma lost. I would say PSU will move up, but you know they'll jump Georgia over us...

I bet Georgia jumps us too. Really curious to see this team play Mich. and Ohio. My hope is that the coaches are holding back - not unleashing the team's full ability. The Red Rider is still wrapped in the corner. The best is yet to come.

We haven't seen what this team can do. In 2 weeks at home...we will see what we are craving!

It's possible, particularly with Penn State's history with the polls. I think though Penn State goes to #3 this week, then Georgia leap frogs Penn State next weekend.

The polls will resolve themselves. Win the next 3 games and then worry about it.
