I agree with some of the other posters here. If what was written is accurate Durkin & Co need to be held criminally liable. I don't know how you don't prosecute them if the reports are true.

Unbelievable they let the poor kid die.

I was worried that they'd get better similar to Oregon with the Nike $. Underarmour may be a bit embarrassed. What is their ad campaign? Defend This House.

20 years ago this kind of behavior (Toughening kids up) was normal I guess but we know better now. At least most of us do.

The more I think about the meter issue the more I think OSU should fire him. Yes he lied to the media which is a problem. The bigger problem is that he protected an abuser. It makes more sense to fire him so the university can wipe their hands clean. The university will have lots of explaining to do if somethibg happens again. OSU can recruit without a huge name as a coach.

Nailed that one. SEC friends asked me about Meyer getting fired. I said he'll get a slap on the wrist suspension and be back for the first real game. Who would be the 4th game? I didn't look. And what does suspended for 3 games really mean? No work or no game day. I added that OSU has an SEC culture.

It makes no sense. Either he did something wrong and should be fired or he didn't and any suspension is unwarranted.

Can't wait to read the spin.

There was no way he was going to be suspended thru the PSU game (game 5 for OSU).

If he's not Urban Meyer he's fired but that's how it goes. I'm not bugged about it really. He'll hear about it for the rest of his life and anything that is an irritation to a Buckeye is fine by me. But until law enforcement and the judicial system figure out a better way of dealing with this stuff I guess we'll be stuck with the absurd method of expecting college football coaches and others to handle it.

I was reading some stuff on the train into NYC today (no suit today -- YIPEE) and one blurb I saw said Meyers did not meete his reporting requirement. Did anyone else see that?

3 PSU execs went to jail for not reporting the crimes of Sandusky. I realize Ohio is no Pennsylvania and the same laws are not applied. But, if 3 guys go to jail for not reporting what they were legally required to report, how can OSU justify Meyer keeping his job?
