College Sports Scandals
Re: College Sports Scandals
G, I read somewhere that Pitino has a clause requiring 10 day notification before he is fired. The AD has a similar, but longer, clause.

When I posted that the report was he was fired. It changed slightly, but I doubt he's ever back.

Makes sense on the clause and I agree with you on him coming back.

The right, only thing they could do. I hope huge sanctions are next for the University, which has turned into one of my least favorite schools...and criminal charges for all who facilitated these events.
If at first you don't succeed, give up. There is no hope for you.

but he passed a lie-detector. I wonder what the question were.

I think the lawsuits brought on by Penn Staters has scared the NCAA straight. I don't anticipate any meaningful sanctions on Louisville or anyone else.

Scared them "straight"? This is what they are supposed to be doing. If they don't have the balls to enforce actual rules, what is the point of continuing to have an NCAA?

They used to sanction programs. See USC,Ohio State and the entire SEC. I just think those days are over. I agree though on that the NCAA has outlived its usefulness.
