Other College Football Games
Re: Other College Football Games
The PC answer is 'we are disappointed, we like to play against the best' while thinking 'thank-you may we have another'

He spent the entire second half in our backfield. I'll quote the rabbi in Fiddler on the Roof: "may the Lord bless him......and keep him far away from us."
Yeah, well, that's like your opinion, man.

I've noticed that Fiddler on the Roof is making a lot of appearances on this forum lately. Odd.
Is it baseball season yet?

Yes. I blame Dad....he started it. And Morelli.

Old Dominion beat Va Tech yesterday for their first win of the season. The wife and I almost went to the game but decided against it. This is a school that didn’t have a teams decade ago and moved quickly from Div II to I. They did well in the lower tier and almost beat Pitt on the road a few years ago. How they got Tech to come to their smallish stadium in Norfolk is almost as hard to grasp as the fact that they won.

The Scott Frost era at Nebraska hasn't exactly gotten off to a stellar start.

Years ago, they fired Frank Solich for going 58–19 in 6 seasons (roughly 9-3 per season on average). They'd probably kill for that right about now.

Poor Frank Solich just had the misfortune of following Tom Osborne. That was his only crime.
But, yes, they'd kill for that sort production now. What a mess over there.

They've come down to earth with a thunderous boom since the Osborne days. Solich's crime, aside from following Osborne as HC, was lack of pedigree. I won't be surprised to see Scott Frost get a very large pass due to his pedigree. And I won't be surprised when Frost has the 'huskers contending for a B10 title in three years.

They have to give Frost a large pass. They signed him to a monster contract.
