OSU insider says fans will be shocked at investigation outcome
I never believe this "insider" stuff because it's rarely accurate, but I wonder if this is a deliberate leak to start prepping people. Who knows.

Is it baseball season yet?
Re: College Sports Scandals
I have to say, that is not the shock I was anticipating, but you may be right that it is just preparing the masses for the possibility.

I could be completely off, but I believe that the longest suspension he will serve will be 3 games. I listen to sports talk radio most of the day during work, and this seems to be the sentiment that is now being reported.

not sure if anyone gave a definitive answer on this - but a mandated reporter is 24/7. Hence, when Mike told dad and company - they were, by law, required to report if reasonably suspicious. So urban is 24/7.

Living here, I expect he will receive a bonus for coming clean and a contract extension. Of course, I could be wrong, he could be named the president of THEEEEEEEE OSU tomorrow. Anything is possible in buckeyeland.

So I got that going for me...which is nice. It's a cross between Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent and Northern California Sensimilla so you can play 36 holes on it,take it home at night and get stoned to the begesses belt

Dinich and a couple others at ESPN wrote article about UMD football program after a kid died in June of heat stroke. Toxic atmosphere and such...Durkin put on admin leave.
He was an assistant at OSU, wasn't he?

Gotcha, thx.
Kind of a mess he's created - bad kharma when a player dies. Praying for the grieving family...have to think that Durkin's days are numbered.

Yeah. Durkin has been placed on leave now too. It's over for him properly. The tragedy is that a young man died. Maybe because proper procedures weren't followed. That will be determined. The other stuff i.e. toxic culture will have to get sorted out too. As you all know, MD fans HATE PSU, so a lot of their message boards are now full of people taking hardline approaches to everything before they "don't want to like PSU fans". Instead of you, finding out what is really true and then making decisions. Welcome to the club Terps.
And seriously, you won't find another fanbase that hates PSU like Maryland fans. It's not even close the vitriol you see and have seen for years on their message boards.
